BIOGRAPHY

Niven Shumaker, currently serving as a Data Scientist and Innovation Advisor on the Global Innovation Factori Team at SLB, has a diverse background.

With prior consulting experience for an AI-based exploration start-up and Sandia National Labs, he spent 15 years at Noble Energy, holding positions such as Tamar Asset Manager, Sr. Finance Advisor, and Geophysical Advisor. He played a pivotal role in significant deep-water discoveries in the US Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, and the Eastern Mediterranean. Niven is also a published author and teaches short courses on geophysics, unconventionals, pore pressure, and innovation.
